Mikel Arteta lamented Arsenal’s lack of purpose, aggression and threat as they slipped to a last-gasp 1-0 defeat at Porto in the first leg of their Champions League last‑16 tie. The Arsenal mana­ger was ­furious at the 94th‑minute con­cession – curled home superbly from long‑range by the Porto winger Galeno – saying his team had failed to manage the situation. “I am very disappointed with the way we gave the game away at the end,” Arteta said. “We dominated the game but we lacked purpose."
