Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal to sign the Swiss midfielder Remo Freuler from Atalanta on a three-year deal for an initial €9m (£7.6m) fee, plus add-ons. The 30-year-old is set to have his medical soon, and will become Forest’s 14th incoming this summer.

This deal, once completed, will take the club’s spending up to £78m during this transfer window, excluding the undisclosed fees paid for Brandon Aguilera and Ryan Hammond.
