• Leno hopes to be back training in four to six weeks
  • Pablo Mari out for up to three months with ankle injury

Arsenal’s goalkeeper Bernd Leno hopes to be back training in four to six weeks after confirmation that the knee injury he suffered at Brighton was a moderate ligament strain and not as bad as initially feared.

It is unlikely Leno will play again this season but the prognosis is welcome for player and club. Arsenal will, though, be without the defender Pablo MarĂ for two to three months because of ankle ligament damage and have lost the forward Gabriel Martinelli to a knee injury, the extent of which is unclear.
